Driver Coaching

From weekend warrior to Formula 1, any driver can benefit from proper coaching. Whether the goal is to be able to drive your shiny exotic car back from the track in one piece, or to find that extra tenth to take pole position, DM Racing can help.

Performance Driving
With private trackday experience in every high performance car available today, call on DM Racing to help you get more out of your car, your track time, and yourself. When you take your street car to the track, the number one goal must be to bring it back safe and sound at the end of the day. Other goals, in close proximity, are: Have fun, get faster, and get more comfortable with your car.

Competititve Race Driving
As a race driving instructor, I have logged hundreds of hours watching racecars- from inside and out. This experience helps me to make clear to my clients what the car will need from the driver (driver coaching), and what the driver may need from the car (setup and data analysis).

When considering the importance of driver coaching in your own racing program, remember these examples...
Alain Prost reflected at the end of his career (spanning 199 Grand Prix races and four World Championships) that he felt he had run two absolutely perfect laps in his life. Michael Schumacher has answered numerous times in interviews that there was "a little more" possible on his qualifying lap - even when he is on pole position!

If these are the best in the world, and they know there's more, don't you think there's more to be found in your driving performance? An extra pair of eyes to watch just your driving can improve your performance more than you might expect. In fact, my goal when working with competitive drivers is to improve your lap times by at least the amount you gain from a new set of tires. The difference is that knowledge does not wear out as quickly as rubber, and it's yours to keep. In addition, the coaching usually costs less than the tires...
